TV Recap: ‘Succession’ Season Two Episode Eight – “Dundee”

It looks the Roy’s are trying to avoid reality (you know that whole cruise scandal) by going as far away from as possible from home. Nothing says normal like going to Logan’s hometown to celebrate Logan. However, the wheels are turning and much was revealed this week as we head into the home stretch before the finale. So with that in mind, here are the top 5 takeaways from tonight’s episode.

5. Logan will do anything to win at this point

It seems Logan will now do just about anything possible (perhaps even sacrifice a family member to keep his family.

4. The family is all against Rhea

It seems the family now realizes that Rhea poses a serious threat to their family business. Shiv now realizes why she’s no longer in the running to be CEO of Waystar and is seeking to eliminate the competition. I’m not sure if Holly Hunter will make it season 3, but she was a fantastic addition to season 2.

3. I Wonder About Tom’s Future

This seems to be all heading down a certain path where someone in the family is going to take the fall. Would Shiv allow Tom to be sacrificed? Could they pin this whole scandal on him in the interest of saving the firm?

2. What about Kendall rapping at that party of backstabbers?

Kendall rapping in this episode is the highlight of the second season. Even the party honoring Logan was like most things in this family (a massive cluster bleep). I also wonder if things start to become awfully bleak, will anyone in this photo turn on the Roy family? My money is on Ms. Rhea in the middle.

1. If things become bleak, I wonder if Gerri will start to share what she knows with the world?

Could Gerri be the gatekeeper as it pertains to some deep dark Roy family secrets?
