2017 Oscar Predictions: BEST PICTURE (June)
[divider style=”solid” top=”20″ bottom=”20″]
As in Best Director this month, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk has closed the gap between itself and Silence, which has been at #1 since our 2017 Oscar predictions began. That teaser trailer for Billy Lynn last month really did wonders as last month’s 15-point spread is now down to just two. Expect a new #1 next month.
The next three films remain in nearly the same positions; breaking their #3 tie last month The Birth of a Nation gains two points while Loving drops a big 10 spots and Manchester by the Sea adds four to its tally. Fences‘ strength in the Best Picture race keeps growing – it’s still at #6 but with a healthy 7-point increase. Sully moves up two spots and Story of Your Life sees a 5-point jump. Moonlight takes a hit and falls to #9 and we have one new entry this month with Wilson at #15.
