Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk) is nothing if not consistent. Despite the turn-up in Best Picture he retains his #1 spot in Best Director.
But, as in Best Picture, Jordan Peele (Get Out) and Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) make huge moves as we leave 2017 to land at #3 and #5, respectively. Ridley Scott, hot off the heels of his Best Director nomination for All the Money in the World at the Golden Globes, debuts at #10. Was the Globe nom a fluke? Maybe. The Directors Guild of America nominations on January 11, 2018 will tell us.
Here are the 2018 Oscar predictions for Best Director for the second half of December from the Gold Rush Gang. Keep an eye on all of the Gold Rush Gang’s 2018 Oscar predictions updated LIVE throughout the month.
