Directors Guild Sets Early February Date for 2026 DGA Awards

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) announced today that the 78th Annual DGA Awards will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, and will return once again to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Beth McCarthy-Miller will return as Chair of the Awards ceremony for the fifth consecutive year.
“DGA Awards is a unique opportunity to celebrate excellence in our craft, and I could not be more honored to serve another year as Chair of this important event,” said Beth McCarthy-Miller. “I thank DGA President Lesli Linka Glatter for appointing me to this role, and I look forward to celebrating with all of the incredible 2025 nominees and honorees!”
The 77th Annual DGA Awards ceremony took place on February 8, 2025, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where Director Sean Baker was honored with the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Theatrical Film Award for his film Anora. Baker went on to win the Oscar for Best Director a month later.
Unlike last season, the DGA and PGA Awards won’t be fighting for time on the same evening; the 2026 PGA Awards will take place three weeks later, on February 28. See the 2025/2026 Film Awards Calendar below.
Additional information, including the voting schedule and key deadlines for the 78th DGA Awards, will be announced later this year.
