The 2026/2027 film awards calendar will be updated throughout the year as new dates for film’s biggest events, film festivals, nominations and awards, and their very important voting periods, are announced.
This year’s major film festivals kicked off with Sundance in January, Berlin in February and SXSW in March, overlapping Oscars week. Cannes takes place May 12-23, then we head to Venice a bit later this year, from September 2-10, Telluride from September 4-7, Toronto from September 10-20, New York from September 25 to October 12 and AFI from October 21-25.
The Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards will vie for the first and second Sundays in January, dates to be determined. The Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards and the SAG Actor Awards will land on February 27 and 28, respectively.
The 99th Oscars will be held on March 14, 2027 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Hollywood, California.
