Carrie Preston (‘Elsbeth’) on the Resurgence of Broadcast Television and What She Sees for Season 4 [VIDEO INTERVIEW]
What began as memorable (and Emmy-winning) guest spots on The Good Wife that led to The Good Fight, actress and executive producer Carrie Preston is now leading the way on primetime network television as the whimsically intelligent crime solver Elsbeth Tascioni for three seasons of Elsbeth on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
Also remembered for her celebrated acting performances in 1997’s My Best Friend’s Wedding, HBO’s True Blood and TNT’s Claws – just to name a few – Preston continues to take pride in working within an ensemble cast, even as she plays the title role on her hit comedy series.
With the fourth season of Elsbeth already announced, Preston discussed with us what aspects of her longtime beloved character she would enjoy exploring next season, the resurgence of broadcast television versus video streaming and she reveals exclusively at AwardsWatch what she would love to say to her Elsbeth television character, if only she could.
