Art Directors Guild (ADG) nominations: ‘All Quiet on the Western Front,’ ‘Elvis,’ ‘The Batman,’ ‘Bardo’ and more
The Art Directors Guild announced today the nominations for its 27th Excellence in Production Design Awards in motion pictures, television, commercial and music video categories.
The ADG divides live-action feature film into three categories: Period, Fantasy, and Contemporary. All Quiet on the Western Front, Babylon, Elvis, The Fabelmans and White Noise were nominated in the period feature film category, while Avatar: The Way of Water, The Batman, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Everything Everywhere All At Once and Nope were nominated in fantasy. For contemporary we have Bardo, Bullet Train, Glass Onion, TÁR and Top Gun: Maverick.
Over in television, the breakdown of categories is more focused on more Emmy Awards category eligibility (half hour vs hour and single camera vs multi-cam) and features nominees like The Crown, Obi-Wan Kenobi, What We Do in the Shadows, How I Met Your Father and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Taylor Swift music videos were nominated twice in that category: “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled,” along with Adele’s “I Drink Wine,” Coldplay x Selena Gomez’s “Let Somebody Go” and Kendrick Lamar’ “Rich Spirit.”
Winners will be named at the 27th ADG Awards ceremony on February 18 at the InterContinental Hotel Los Angeles Downtown Hotel. Here is the full list of nominations.
