‘Dunkirk’ wins Cinema Audio Society (CAS) top sound mixing award
Dunkirk has won the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) award for sound mixing for a live-action motion picture, beating out strong competition from the likes of Baby Driver, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and The Shape of Water. The WWII film also won the Sound award at BAFTA last week and is up for the same award (with the same competition) at the Oscars one week from today. Blade Runner 2049, bested Dunkirk at the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) guild; they’re both nominated at the Oscars with the same films above.
Coco and Jane rounded out the film prizes and Game of Thrones, Black Mirror, and Silicon Valley were among the television winners.
