Just days after the release of its poster (below), Warner Bros. has given us the first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s attempt at the Oscar with DUNKIRK.
The trailer, as it is, feels like any number of war films and Nolan definitely seems to be striving for the legitimacy of the Academy Awards that Steven Spielberg hunted for before coming out with Schindler’s List and Saving Private Ryan. It’s inevitable that Dunkirk will be compared to directly to Spielberg’s Oscar-winning war epic.
