It was a huge trailer drop this morning for a host of upcoming summer and fall films starring Oscar winning superstars like Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, Kathy Bates, George Clooney and Brad Pitt, an animated sequel to an Oscar-nominated hit, a Cannes-winning comedic trip of triptychs and a tale of two crime fixers who might just end up fixing each other.

In Netflix’s A Family Affair, a surprising romance kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity. Directed by Richard Lagravenese from a screenplay by Carrie Solomon, the film stars Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, Joey King and Academy Award winner Kathy Bates. Releasing globally on Netflix June 28, 2024.

Searchlight Pictures’ Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos from a screenplay by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou. Starring Academy Award winner Emma Stone, Cannes Best Actor winner Jesse Plemons, Academy Award nominee Willam Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Academy Award nominee Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer. In theaters June 21, 2024.

Walt Disney’s Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced. Directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, and stars Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson. Featuring music by Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina. In theaters November 27, 2024.

From Apple Original Films and Sony Pictures, Academy Award winners George Clooney and Brad Pitt team up for the action comedy Wolfs. Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high profile crime. But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected. Written and directed by Jon Watts and also starring Academy Award nominee Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams and Poorna Jagannathan. In theaters on September 20, 2024.
