2018 Oscar Predictions: FILM EDITING and CINEMATOGRAPHY (December Part 1)

Published by

Dunkirk remains the strong frontrunner for Film Editing (but Get Out is gaining fast) and increases its lead in Cinematography over Blade Runner 2049 just a bit the first half of this month. The Florida Project, Lady Bird and Baby Driver pop up in Film Editing as debuts this month. Very little movement in Cinematography this month; The Post moves up and Phantom Thread is removed from the list as director Paul Thomas Anderson did his own camerawork uncredited and therefore is ineligible for a nomination.
