2018 Oscar Predictions: SOUND EDITING and SOUND MIXING (December Part 1)

Published by

As we saw in Film Editing and Cinematography, Dunkirk continues to dominate the tech categories and Sound Editing and Sound Mixing is no different. Blade Runner 2049 is still runner-up in both of those as well and there is very little movement in either category at this time. They will likely remain so until the two major sound guilds, the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) and the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) chime in. Wonder Woman is the only film to inch its way up in both categories and there is one low-level debut this month, The Post in Sound Mixing.
